Missy's interest in analyzing movement began to evolve in college, where she studied and worked in the motor learning lab, helping stimulate the motor development of children with motor learning challenges. Since, she has dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge beyond her degrees and certifications. Collaborating with physical therapists and renowned movement experts, she continues to seek education, inspiration, and innovative solutions to the complexities of biomechanics and learning styles.

Specializing in movement re-education and pain alleviation, Missy strives to educate her clients on the objective principles of biomechanics and alignment. Through this knowledge, she empowers them to transform their health and enhance their quality of life, exuding confidence, grace, and power—an embodiment of Élan.

Anita Goodkind

Anita has 16 years of experience in the mind-body field. She obtained her first Pilates certification in 2002 and has been teaching ever since. She has received three Pilates certifications: in 2002 from Integrated Movement Exercise in New York, in 2005 from Advances in Pilates in Long Beach, and in 2017 from The Kane School in NYC. She has trained with the legendary Marie Jose Blum and Kelly Kane.

Anita’s personal journey to heal her own body has shaped her career and studies. Challenges living with scoliosis, lower back and neck pain, as well as debilitating migraines, led her to explore movement as a source of healing.

Anita’s passion for working with chronic pain and injuries, led her to deepen her knowledge of human anatomy and function. In 2008 Anita was certified as a Hellerwork Practitioner. Hellerwork (Rolfing) realigns the body through deep tissue fascial release to alleviate chronic pain. Anita also certified in the Egoscue Method for Postural Alignment in 2015, a system of corrective exercises for postural alignment.

Most recently, she has been practicing BodyFix Method in NYC, in which she combines all of her hands-on therapies, with corrective exercises to alleviate chronic pain by restoring the natural alignment of the body.

Anita brings the focus of her attention to every session to ensure that each and every client has his or her individual needs met above and beyond. In every session, she emphasizes optimal structural alignment because achieving balance in the body heals old injuries, alleviates chronic pain and prevents new injuries from occurring. She believes that movement is healing and that everyone deserves to feel great in their body.
